Jude came back with me this week. She had a good time. In fact she already knows more people in Ashburton than I do. I spend most of my time at work so haven't really had time to meet many people yet.
Jude met Janet and Benjy on the bus this week going top Newton Abbot. She also had a cranio sacral massage (whatever that is). Not to mention the cream teas in The Green Ginger Cafe! It's a good job she's back in Chesham now. She's been eating for England this week and would soon be looking like a bus if she stayed any longer!

Went for a drive across the moors last Sunday. The scenery was spectacular, and after all the rain on Saturday the river Dart was a chocolate brown muddy deluge.
When I got to Tavistock I got a call to say Judy was in hospital. Not what I'd expected or wanted to hear. But they didn't keep her in, and she seems much better now. She's had another attack of pleurisy (if that's how you spell it). Anyway a course of anti biotic and steroids has sorted her out.
She's such a worry!
I'm back in Chesham again for the weekend and will be taking Judy back with me for a week.
I wonder how many more times I will be doing this journey across country.

Another two weeks completed in the new job. Jude has been back in Chesham for the last two weeks. It felt strange going back to the house without her, but I'm getting used to it now.
The weather has been fairly poor over the last couple of weeks, but hey, even in the rain Devon seems better than Chesham.
This is our garden, by the way. Its a good size, but is quite secure. It will be ideal for Lily to explore.

First week in new job is over. It went really well. Think I'm going to like living in Devon. A twenty five miunte drive down the edge of Dartmoor has got to be better than an hour or more on the Metropolitan line every morning.
The house in Ashburton is great aswell. The picture to the left is of our kitchen (in case you didn't guess) I will try to put some more up but it is proving difficult.
It was Jude's birthday this week. We went for a meal at a really excellent restaurant in Ashburton called Agaric. Most of the food they serve there is organic and locally sourced. We had a truly excellent lobster to share, plus the most delicious deserts. Obviously we drank too much wine aswell!

Chesham
It's very hot and muggy today, and despite raining twice it still feels hot up here (the front room). It doesn't make packing very easy, but I think I'm ready for tommorrow. Dad and I are taking a whole load of stuff down to our new house in Ashburton.
But this is really just a test posting. I will write more when I am down there in a few weeks.
